Now that "sneaky sound" is back! Neverland, the rock band that burst onto the scene in the 80s, will begin worldwide distribution of their works from their time with King Records on October 9, 2024!
With the concept of "sneaky sound," meaning "rock sound that can be easily listened to by a wide range of people, from children to adults, like sneakers," they debuted in May 1982 with the single "Ashita-iro no Sneakers" from King Records. Since then, they have steadily released works and toured live, gaining popularity little by little.

<Comment from Shunji Inoue of "Neverland">
I'm Shunji Inoue, the keyboardist for NEVERLAND.
I am delighted to have received word from King Records that NEVERLAND will be available for digital distribution!
The 1980s, when NEVERLAND was active, was the era of analog records, and even the band members found it difficult to listen to their recordings from that time.
I am thrilled to be able to listen to the music we poured our youth into, recording it over many days in the studio, in high fidelity.
My twenties were filled with fun memories of being immersed in music with NEVERLAND!
We're not currently active, but a younger band called EVERLAND, a cover band of NEVERLAND, holds a live show every year. It looks like a fun event, so please check it out! (laughs)
And please enjoy this digital release!

"NEVERLANDing HISTORY selected by Shunji Inoue"

Shunji Inoue, a member of the rock band Neverland, which burst onto the scene like a comet in the 80s, has carefully selected their representative songs. Their catchy "sneaky sound," which skillfully incorporates elements of AOR and melodic hard rock, is now revived!

Neverland
Tomoaki Taka (Vocal)
Takumi Abe (Guitar)
Hiroyuki Tanaka (Bass)
Shunji Inoue (Keyboards)
Masato Wada (Drums)
After transforming from an idol group into a rock band, Lazy disbanded in 1981 at the height of their popularity, with each member going their separate ways. Hironobu Kageyama went solo, while Akira Takasaki and Munetaka Higuchi launched the heavy metal band Loudness. In the same year, Shunji Inoue (Key) and Hiroyuki Tanaka (B) formed the rock band Neverland with Tomoaki Taka (Vo) from former SOPHIA, Takumi Abe (G) from former DUO, and Masato Wada (D) from former MAKE-UP. With the concept of "sneaky sound," meaning "a rock sound that can be easily listened to by a wide range of people from children to adults," they developed a pop and catchy sound that skillfully incorporated tastes of AOR and melodic hard rock. They debuted in May 1982 with the single "Ashita-iro no Sneakers" from King Records, and released their first album "TICKET TO ISLAND" in August. In April 1983, they released their 2nd album, "MESSAGE FROM ISLAND," followed by "Welcome To Our NEVERLAND ~Neverland Live in Kosei Nenkin Kaikan~" in July, which was a recording of their 1st anniversary live performance. In December, they released their 3rd album, "LANDING ON ISLAND," the final installment of their "Island Trilogy." Their 4th single, "Kodoku no Tabiji ~LONELY JOURNEY~/Lullaby," released in July of the same year, also garnered attention as the theme song for the TV anime "Psycho Armor Gobarian." After releasing their 4th album "MOTION" in June 1984 and their 5th album "INSIDE TOUCH" in April 1985, they moved to the Polydor label and welcomed Shigeharu Tamura as their second drummer. They continued to release albums such as "Jokigen - RUN・RUN・RUN" (1986) and "NEVERLANDing" (1987), but announced their disbandment in 1990, with "THE LAST NIGHT - Final Live" (1990) becoming their final work.
